From Split - best full day island trip

Basing in Split for 5 nights. Family of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens). Travel in Summer 2023.

We were thinking of booking a full day trip - Blue Cave, Vis & Hvar by Speedboat (10-11 hours). Not sure if we need to plan for possible sea sickness... is it quite bumpy even in summer months? I know it depends on the day/weather. Should we plan to book a boat tour via GetYourGuide at the port or charter a boat for customized tour? We want to see Blue Cave + Stiniva Beach + Budikovac Island + Pakleni Islands + Hvar Island.

We are also planning to take a catamaran from Split to Bol (Brac) via Jadrolinija and stay a couple nights there.

Any suggestions for seeing the most we can based in Split would be much appreciated, thank you.

I have already commented on this on your previous post on the same topic. Book direct, not with a third party. I haven’t done this tour as it’s not the pace I travel at. I would spend days on each island, not just a couple of hours.

It can get very windy and therefore bumpy in the afternoon.

You have 4 days / 5 nights. You previously mentioned a day in Omis. You want a day on a speedboat. Split itself will take at least a full day to look round the highlights. Trogir is worth a half day trip.

It can be very hot there in the summer, so be prepared to find shade between 11 and 2-3pm unless you are in the sea or pool.
