My husband and I are traveling next Spring to Barcelona and then over to Florence to pick up a rental car and drive to Puglia for 2 weeks and then back to Florence and then fly back to Barcelona to fly home. Unsure of the best airlines to fly from Barcelona to Florence and then back to Barcelona. Any recommendations?

Second, why return to Barcelona? Probably cheaper and certainly more convenient to return from Florence or perhaps even Rome. Our preference for a discount airline within Europe is EasyJet.

Look at the website of Barcelona airport to see which airlines fly from there to which airports in Italy - you may not have a choice of airline if you want to fly direct from Barca to anywhere in Italy.

Looks like Vueling is the only airline with direct BCN-FLR service. It also has direct flights to Bari (BRI)
ITA has one stop via FCO, to either FLR or BRI

Thank you everyone for your responses. We chose to fly back to Barcelona for our return home because of the price. I did check with Italia airlines and found a good price to fly from Barcelona to Rome where we will pick up our car and go to Puglia and then return car to Bari and fly back to Barcelona. This works out much more conveniently.
