Traveling with teens to Southern France this summer, but looking for accommodations where there are more families so the teens can meet other teens. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks for your response. We have 3 kids age 17 to 12, so the spread is pretty large. Ideally we'd like to find a community, where some of the families might go ofk hiking together, etc. We were looking at the Luberon and the Cevennes, but are open to suggestion.
You might look up Eurocamps in the areas where you're going. We've never tried them, but apparently they're just full of vacationing families. Maybe someone on the helpline has had some experience with them.
We stayed at the Mas St. Antoine right outside of Avignon in 2008 with our two kids - then ages 11 & 16. They had a blast! The couple who own the place are wonderful and have a great dog! Also, there were several other families (mostly Austrailian) staying there at the same time. We spent late afternoons around the lovely pool and the hosts even arranged a pizza party one evening where we all made our own pizzas which they cooked in their outside oven - quite a party with wine flowing! The website is www.massaintantoine.com. Wherever you stay - enjoy your trip and your kids!
