Foreign Currency Conversion Fee Settlement

Have any of the long-time members of the board received a check for the foreign currency conversion fee settlement? I received mine today! I opted for the $25 check rather than dig up receipts. I'm curious if anyone who took the receipt option has received a different amount.

We did the 'number of days' option (who saves receipts that long?!) and received the same $18.04 last week. The case had been long forgotten.

I don't know if I qualify as a "long-term member" but I'll answer anyway. Both my husband and I received checks for $18.04. We did option 2 (submit the number of days spent outside the US in the relevant time). Our trips included Europe, Australia, Japan and Canada. From reading on Fodors.com it seems that people who submitted actual expenses, with receipts or cc bills, recieved a lot more---in some cases hundreds of dollars. There is a long discussion on the Fodors forum.

I got $18.04 as well (I guess that's what the $25 option became). I just said "long-term" because I figured some of the newer members might not have known about it, since it was quite awhile ago. During the qualifying process, there was someone here who said they "got" $400, but they really meant they "expected" $400, since the last date to apply had not yet arrived. I just wonder what actually happened.

I provided the information requested about actual dollars spent and got a check last week for almost $370.

I just got the check for $18.04. totally forgot about the settlement, so the little check was fun to receive. I don't keep receipts much past checking the billing the month or so after my trips, so I got what I got....all good.

I dug out the receipts and got a little over $400. Paid for half of my new iPad2. Now I am trying to find the original submission to see what I requested. The whole thing was a big surprise.

I received a check for $159.34 but then, we used our visa card to pay for our oldest daughter's annual tuition at an English university, then paid it off immediately, and I had the proof of payment. I was surprised to see someone got a larger amount; I documented over 28,000 dollars in payments.

I got over $100. I did not provide any receipts; I did the number of days option. I don't remember how many days I had total, but I lived in Europe for 3+ year during the settlement period plus I had several weeks of personal travel each year.

I received a check for $122, nice surpise after so long. There appears to be a part B still in the works, so am actually hopeful there may be a second check in the future.

My letter stated that I may be a member of the FX damages class in a second lawsuit which is close to settling, looks like Spring 2012. This was based on certain Visa, Mastercard, and Diners Club cards. It did list a website for more info www.ccfsettlement.com.

I only check my mail every couple of weeks so maybe it has come and I just haven't opened it. I did put in some effort to prove my claim rather than take the $25 option. I've moved since this started - hope that isn't a problem.

So now I know why someone sent me a check for $18.04. I was trying to figure out what rebate I had applied for that had that amount listed. DA!

We received a check for just under $90. As I recall I didn't have to find actual receipts, just went by the credit card statements (which we keep for 7 years for business tax purposes).
