I was at Dillard's yesterday and there is a new mini Chi straightening iron. The paddles are as wide as normal but it is alot shorter. The box says that it converts from 110v to 220v with a regular adapter. It is very cute and small!
Thanks! I am a straightening iron junkie :) I'll check it out.
Thanks Stella for posting this.
I am on the verge of buying a Sedu(220V version) but I will try to check this out.
Lauren, please would you post your experience if you do end up buying and using this :)
I did actually buy it. I used it yesterday morning and it works great!
Ooh, I love straighteners! I can't live without mine, lol. One that converts would be handy, as ours broke this summer in Germany and we had to spend 50 euros on a new one, (which blew up our converter when we tried to use it back home). How much was this one, Stella? I've actually never seen a Dillard's store in Washington...
Hi Nicole,
It was about $80.00 but Chi's are supposed to be great and it should last a long time. I bet you could find it online other places as well. I have tried it and I really like it.
This site has a whole page of travel/dual voltage irons :D - don't know if the prices are any good but can be used as a starting point for further research anyway!
This might be a stupid question since this Mini Chi just came out but I wonder if anyone has used it successfully while in Europe.
Unfortunately we don't have a Dillard's in Washington state. I will try to see if the Sally beauty supply store has it and report back. I checked the folica.com website and it doesn't look like they sell it seperately: it comes with a travel kit(might be good for some people).
