Good airfares reported in the Italy thread but other airports affected and ongoing

Darrell found a good Delta/KLM/AirFrance sale tonight from the west coast and other airports to several airports in Europe where Delta flies. Go to the Italy thread to see some details. Most airfares from the west coast are less than $450 RT.

Well, couldn't find what I needed at that low a price, but I hVe been tracking prices for three months and my trip was hovering at $1500, a bit more than in previous years.

Today it was $888, DTW to MXP, LHR to DTW.

There was a roundtrip fare for $407, DTW to LHR and back, but it actually disappeared from the screen.

We have been tracking our trip for April 2017 to Brussels returning from Amsterdam and it was around 1300 a piece. I checked last night and Delta had them for $404 each. Not sure what is going on but maybe an unadvertised sale. Also, spoke with someone today about traveling and he brought up that he found a London ticket for around $400 within the last few days.

Isn't flight pricing an elusive business? I'm really glad you found fares that would work for your dates and flight preferences! We've had several friends and family members book too in the last two days. I emailed all of the people I know were planning to go to Europe in the next year.

I just booked 2 tickets from JFK to Milan for $659 on BA. That was the total price including an AARP discount of $65 per seat. Now I just have to get to New York!

I booked April 30 - May 16, Baltimore to Paris round trip on Wow Air for a little under $500 (I think it ended up $529 with selecting seats but a small carry on only). If Wow flies into your area it's worth looking at, just be aware that the price is bare bones and they charge extra for everything (meals, baggage, etc.).

I got stuck in Iceland for a night last time on Wow (this last September) because the runway closed for weather. It wasn't ideal but Wow had a shuttle for the stranded passengers to a hotel, keys waiting for us at the desk, fed us three meals, a shuttle back to the airport and flew everyone out the next afternoon (though I had to fly into Boston and connect to Baltimore). I don't think too many airlines would handle the delay better than they did (even though most of the stranded passengers had zero patience and complained about the lack of communication).

Brad, your WOW experience sounds good to me. If it really was a weather delay, I don't think the airline had to do anything at all for you.
