halo everyone, I just wanted to thank y’all again for your help; i’ve been having quite the time here on the continent! I’m curious what you advise for packing a port sampler and some homemade jam I was lucky enough to receive from one of my hosts? I was going to put the alcohol in my checked luggage, and the jam in my carry on. dear lord, the stuff just keeps accumulating! thank you again for your help

Ditto: put the jam in your checked luggage. My DH came up against that one on a domestic flight some years ago.

You can only carry on liquids less than 3 ounces. Buy a wine diaper for the port and put it in checked luggage. Otherwise it will be taken at TSA.

You can't carry either of these on. They are liquids that exceed the size allowances to be brought on board.
But no worries -- just wrap up each separately wrapped by your thickest clothes and they should make it home fine.
