Middle of April Keukenkof is a must see. On the third weekend in April there is a flower parade in Haarlem. All the floats are made from flowers. There is also a flower show this year in Venlo. I would recommend you start your trip in the Netherlands.

I'd agree. Netherlands first, then Germand. If you can catch the bluemencorso - the flower parade - it is a lot of fun. Very busy in Haarlem for the viewing aftaerwards but not bad to rock up and view a bit further down the line - somewhere like Leiderdorp.
