Flights from Barcelona to Seville

We are landing in Terminal 1 (United) at 9:00am and wondering if we can make a Ryanair flight at 11:25 from Terminal 2B. It looks like we may need to take a bus plus get through customs. Is 2 hours enough time?

Are you checking bags?
Is there another flight later that day if you miss that one?
MAD is a massive airport, so if you are changing terminals it could be dicey.

I just realized I misread your post and assumed Madrid--so many fly into Madrid and head to Andalucia immediately. Sorry about that! Glad you got better advice below, but you might want to post your itinerary and maybe we can offer ways to work around this.

Definitely not enough time.

My recommendation would be to call United, or whoever sold you the ticket, and see what it would cost to reroute to Sevilla. It would be a preferred option, even if more expensive.

If we land in Terminal 1 at 9:00am from our United flight how long will it take to go through customs and pickup our bags? I found another flight at 1:45 from Barcelona to Seville on vueling airlines. The problem is it's a separate flight not connected to the other originating flights. So, I assume we'd have to go back through the check-in process at the arrival area. Can we do that in 2 hours? It's all in Terminal 1.

You will have to collect your luggage and go back through security. I would not be comfortable accomplishing all that in just 3 hours at oversized Heathrow. If there are any unforeseen delays ( flight delays, bad weather, labor strikes, security alerts that cause security lines to backup, etc). you’ll likely miss your onward flight to Spain.

Hi there, just so you understand that Ryanair isn't part of UA's Star Alliance, so they have no obligation to get you onto connecting flight if you miss the one you've booked. Is the Ryanair a cheap ticket you'd be happy to toss away & pay for a later flight? I assume you have reservations that night in Seville, so the 'cost' is more than just that second leg of flight ticket. I've seen others not worry about this, factor in the cost of a hotel stay near airport, and go ahead and chance it for a large price differential. MAYBE they will check you all the way through to Seville, despite the different airline. (I did this once connecting in MUC onto Ryan Air to Ireland, one way the woman who checked me in was happy to check my bag through to the end of the journey, coming back NOT. So I had to hustle through immigration to pick up bag, recheck it & get to a nearby flight.) I would definitely take the later 1:30PM flight, at least check in on the app for the Ryanair flight as soon as you land in Barcelona, and hope for the best, even with 4.5 hours layover!
