We will be flying from Paris to Madrid in the Spring; does anybody have a suggestion for a good airline that allows us each to carry one check-in item plus a carry-on? What a bout a few days later from Madrid to Santiago? (we may rent a car for that one}.

I have used Vueling, they allow one carry on plus one personal item( purse/camera bag). I have used them twice with no problem but do read on luggage size and weight restrictions, I travel light and haven't had a problem , but if you are a heavy packer it may be different.
