Flat irons

Taking a trip to England, Spain and Portugal. Can anyone advise me of a good dual voltage unit that will work.

I used my $25 Conair flat iron that I purchased in Target. It worked just fine. I used my adapter plug. I will warn you that due to the voltage change, the flat iron made a "clicking" sound when on, but it didn't affect the iron at all. I use the same one at home, it's not a "travel" iron.

If you have an iron that is working for you at home, you don't need to run out and spend more money buying a special one. Just make sure yours is dual voltage - almost all the newer ones are.

I've read here on the board that women worry that their expensive Chi irons will get ruined in Europe, and I'd agree to not take a $100 iron when traveling.

Thanks - I was thinking about it all night and decided I didnt want to spend the money so I will either take mine (dual voltage remington) or buy one in England as suggested by another kind reader
