Flat Iron love!

I stepped on the flat iron I had a few months back and broke it. I bought a cheap replacement which I hated and gave to my 11 year old (who has straighter, finer hair than I do, anyway.)

I picked up a Conair MiniPro little travel straightener tonight. It is dual voltage, and it heats up FAST! It worked great on my bangs. It's tiny, so I wouldn't use it for every day (I usually let the natural curls go), but if it holds up on the trip- it's something I would recommend, especially at less than $20.

Cate, are you inferring that you have used it in Europe? If so, I'm buying one before my next trip. My flat iron, although dual voltage, did not heat up enough and my hair did NOT cooperate on our trip. I'm thinking of investing in a really good flat iron that's made to be used in Europe so I know I can have good hair! We're not going back until next September, so I have some time to find one! I use a Chi now and love it, but I won't bring it with me just in case it blows out. It was too expensive to experiment with dual voltage!!!

Haven't used it overseas, yet- but will be using it in two weeks. I'll report back on whether it still makes the grade.

I don't know about the mini-pro but I have used a Conair dual voltage flat iron on at least 4 trips to Europe and have had no problems. And, yes, I pack light, but cannot go without this item. It usually squeezes in among clothing. Good luck!

Christe' I agree. I cannot travel without the flat iron... The flat iron that I used was also a Conair, but it wasn't hot enough... I wonder which model yours was. Cate, let us know how yours fares...
