First time on EasyJet -- and it WAS easy

Nice to Naples. Purchased checked bags, carried on one personal item each (husband shoved my empty purse in his bag.) Other than having to get to the airport at 5 a.m. for a 7 a.m. flight, no problems and a VERY nice price.
We DID see one man repacking his carry-on suitcase at the check-in console -- he had to do it twice! And sounded quite annoyed. We considered him as pre-flight entertainment.

Although this feels a little advertorial, I remember flying easy jet once and had nothing to complain about. Jet Airways though? OH my gosh stay clear!!!!!!! Total nightmare.

They are a major European airline, so why wouldn't it be easy? I hardly ever fly with anybody else. They are usually prompt.

You would have to have been at the airport at that time, no matter who you flew with.

All airlines clearly state their baggage allowances clearly online. It's just a bit confusing who allows what, as they all have different requirements.

Glad you had a good flight.

Hi Lauri,

Glad it went to smoothly! We have never flown with them but we are thinking about it on our next trip. I guess if you "know the rules" it is fine.

Hope you are having a fabulous time!

Monte and I are thinking about you and Ed. Wish we were there....

I have used many of the cheapo airlines, including Easyjet.. several times.. and we have not had any issues with any of them so far ( and we are using them again in less than a month)..
The only thing I take note of is to make sure they are using an airport that is convenient to commute to.. in the case of Ryanair we never use them for Paris.. but have used them for many other flights and are using them to fly from Spain to Ireland next month too.

With most of these airlines the deal is simply following the rules re check in and luggage.. some folks seem to buy tickets and don't bother to read the websites.. nothing is "hidden"..

Glad to hear your report .

A friend and I flew with them from Hamburg to London in October and it was great. I read all the rules and paid in advance to check my suitcase. I put my purse in my backpack for carry-on and when I saw the size of the underseat space, I worried my backpack wouldn't fit! It did, but there wasn't much room to spare.

Hi Lauri --
"pre-flight entertainment" -- you are so funny!
And you both have the right travel attitudes, too.
Looking forward to more reports and to seeing you when you return

Hi Lauri,
It sounds like you and Ed are having a great time. Next month I will take my first flight within Europe - Easyjet from Milan - Prague. I paid to check my bag when I bought my ticket. I'll only carry on a backpack with my purse inside.

I'm looking forward to seeing you both in Venice!

Laura,

I also find flights with easyJet to be "easy*, which is why they're my preferred budget airline in Europe. When looking for flights, I always check them first. Hopefully I'll be flying with them again later this year.
