Yesterday, I was listening to a popular financial guide's broadcast, when a caller asked about Topic. I was surprised to find that a number of the multiple airline sites (kayak, e.g.,) offer them. He then mentioned www.mobissimo.com had more info about such discounts. Has anyone worked with it, or generally others sites to get first-class or business class discounts? Any comments about them?

I have looked hard for discount business class and never found anything that was significant. Delta recently advertised a business class sale and the tag was an $800 fare. That one fare was available $800 one way Washington DC to London at a couple very odd times. After that everything else was in the range of $3800 to $4200, a near normal price.

Try Open Skies. They are a new off shoot of British Airways. They fly out of DC and NY into Paris and a couple other French cities. In Paris they land at Orly, and it is soooo much easier than CDG. Prices for business class are about half the big airlines, as all they have is business and first, which they call Biz Bed. It is touted as an all business class airline.
We had a pretty good experience with them last year.

Not that it's cheap, but American Airlines frequently offers a restricted business-class fare that is about the same or even less than the full-fare economy rate.

What's the url for Open Skies? As an aside, yesterday a airline consumer advocate for the public was interviewed, and she mentioned something about her site and possibly new ratings for the airlines. Anyone know her site or about recent airline ratings?
