We are flying into Madrid on American Air, arriving at Terminal 4S and our family is arriving at the same time (10 am on a Saturday morning) on United, arriving at Terminal 1. We need to decide on a pre-determined spot to meet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How are you planning to get into town? Is there a reason that you couldn't just meet at the hotel? It would be easiest if the 4S people came to T1, since 4S is so far out. You can get ground transportation from all terminals.

Nancy is offering a good plan!! Will be somewhat difficult to meet from the two terminals unless you know way around with carrying luggage, etc. To get into town you can take the taxi, aerocity van, or perhaps the airport express bus, depending on where your hotel is located.

I always use Aerocity for transport and suggest you meet at the aerocity desk (which is located just outside the main entry to the subway).

Is there more than one Aerocity counter? The one I know is in T1. That would still require the T4S people to come to T1. Aerocity costs about 20 euro per person - cheaper than a taxi but more than the bus or metro (but less hassle).
