Yes probably. Get a central apartment or hotel in Rome. Daytrip or overnight to Naples / Sorrento for Pompeii. Pompeii can be done in a very long day from Rome but overnight is so much easier. Florence equally can be overnight from Rome or a day trip or two. Consider: 4 full days Rome Daytrips or overnights to Pompeii 2 Daytrips or overnights to Florence 2 or 3 === equals 8 or 9 days fly Florence or Rome to Paris, half day in Paris
3 days in Paris === equals 11 or 12 days. Sounds like a good first trip, especially as you have done it before.

Then from Paris take the trin to London, spend a day or two and fly home out of London. check the air fares for open jaw tickets running the vacation in both directions. sometimes there is a difference. This year I got a great rate on Houston to London, then Budapest to Houston. I connected London and Budapest on a cheap air flight. The advantage is it gave me a chance to spend some time in England at no additional cost. Spend time and get creative, sometimes it works.

Thanks very much. I'll start looking at it that way.
