Mobissimo seems to have the best fares by far ~ anybody used them? Any other suggestions?
Yep ~ just wondering if the sites they send you to to buy tickets are legit!
When buying your tickets, always use a major credit card - not a debit card - and you'll at least have some protection.
That being said, I think Mobissimo is legit.
Im my experience it's rare to find significant price differences between travel websites on overseas flights.
Mobissimo and Skyscanner both have BA flights at about $945 which is the best out there. Ranges up to $1140 on other sites (including BA direct) so that is almost $200 which is interesting. I know you have to pay for seats on BA (if you want to get them more than 24 hours out) but that still seems like a good price
I like the microsoft travel website bing. What I really like is the ease with which you can set departure time on a slider, set maximum travel time with another slider, choose your airlines, etc.
I have used Orbitz before and loved it. The airline web sites could not come close to what I scored on Orbitz, and trust me I tried!!!
I signed up for every single fare alert that exists (or at least that's how it felt!) and i ended up finding our flight on Kayak randomly searching one day--there was one date that had flights listed for $300 per person cheaper than on any other day, and it happened to be the day we needed (well, the day after the day we needed, but i'll give up one day in a month long trip to save $600!), so we booked it. It directed us to Orbitz, which we've used for domestic flights before.
