Favorite direct bus trips

Curious if anyone has any favorite direct public bus trips. Criteria is a public bus line that goes direct from one desired location to another, multiple stops ok.
My favorites are as follows. Bad Ischl to Salzburg, many stops on the way but beautiful countryside, views of Wolfgangsee etc.
Salzburg to Konigsee in Bavaria. Not many stops, and as of summer of 2024 direct to Konigsee although the bus did stop for a few minutes in Berchtesgaden. It isn’t a hugely scenic route but once you are at the Konigsee you are in an incredible location.

And a lesser known route is the direct bus from Bad Schandau in Saxony to the Bastei Bridge. The route goes through a section of the so called Saxon Switzerland region and some neat little small towns on the way, although I did have what I felt was a rather adventurous bus driver. It ends up at an iconic point in Saxony Switzerland.

Do you look also for tips within cities? Like a public transport bus line which passes many sights?

Any local bus in the Dolomites region. South Tirol is beautiful, easy to get around and your hotel will give you a free bus pass for your stay so you can hop on and off anytime.

Bad Ischl to Salzburg is one bus trip I have planned for 2026 if all turns out all right.

A very revealing and enlightening bus trip I did as a day trip in 2005 is that from Torun to Chelmno, both towns on the Vistula. Going through that countryside was indeed an eye-opener.
