Fastest way to get to Cinque Terre from Paris

Traveling with girlfriends in September to Paris. Hoping to go to Cinque Terre for a few days but don't want to spend a lot of time traveling (no overnight train). What would be the best city to fly to? The flight to Pisa is only flying out of Paris @ 6:30pm. Do you think more flights will be available closer to September travel date? Any other suggestions are appreciated.

If things are improved by then, there may be more to choose from. I would not bet more than a nickel on it.

Florence and Genoa may be worth looking at, for earlier in the day flights.

Fly into Milan airport and then take the Malpensa Airport express to Milan Central train station; at Milan Central get a train to Monterosso. I doubt that there will be more flights added in September from Paris to Pisa. It is a small airport.

Yeah I agree that Florence and Genoa would be better closer options than Milan.

You can fly nonstop from Paris Orly Airport to Pisa for less than $50 on a budget carrier. If you pack light you won’t have to check a bag which would probably cost as much as your ticket. From Pisa you can take a 1h 15m train to Monterosso.

Before any of you commit any money to flights or lodging, you need to keep track of what's going on in France and Italy with Covid-19 restrictions. US citizens may not be allowed into France or Italy in September 2021.

These are places to start.

I have looked at some routes that I use regularly within Europe and the flights shown for September are exactly what I would expect, so I don’t think that any more flights will be added, but in these unusual times, you never know.

Unless France overcomes it’s reticence to be vaccinated and manages to acquire more vaccines, then I fear that your September trip won’t be happening. The U.K. is way ahead of France in its vaccination programme and all the adult population here won’t have had their second jab by September. We have a May-June trip to France from the U.K. via Eurotunnel which will have to be rearranged and we consider the odds on September to be 50/50 at best.
