I only have one day planned in Budapest & am wondering if I should extend it at least a couple more days. Any comments?

There is so much to see and do there - extend it for as many days as you possibly can.

Yes! Just returned from Europe last week. Spent 4 days in Budapest and want to return...its a wonderful, fascinating city with lots to see and do.

Yes! Spent four days there and could have stayed on a week. Budapest is a wonderful city with so much to see and do and we found it very affordable. The Chain Bridge, Buda Castle, the Hospital in the Rock, the baths, walking the Andrassy Ut, taking in an opera at the beautiful opera house......there is just so much to do and not enough time in a day! We found the people so kind and prices very, very reasonable as compared to the US dollar. Enjoy your trip.

I did a comfortable 4 night stay in Budapest and saw everything that I wanted to see in a nice and easy pace. So I am sure maybe 3 nights of cramming sites and things to do would serve a person ok if that is what they wanted to do. So I would say for Budapest, no less than 3 nights, if possible.
