Does anyone have any recent experience with the Travelpro Maxlite 3 20" International Expandable Carry-On Rollaboard. I don't abuse my bags, but wonder how it will hold up in normal usage. It's supposed to be an acceptable size for most of the European airlines but I'm not sure if Travelpro's stated dimensions are internal or external measurements. Has anyone used it in Europe on BA or EasyJet? Any insight will be appreciated as will suggestions for bags that will definitely meet European specs.
Anyone with any experience with the particular Travelpro bag mentioned in the original post?
I bought that bag last fall for Europe trip. I used it as carryon on United, Air Canada, and Lufthansa, and checked it twice on Aegean. (I was just over maximum Aegean weight and didn't want a possible last minute hassle, but I didn't see them verifying anyone.) I had no problems with handle, wheels or zippers. It still looks like new and I'm happy with it. I did have one unusual event when an unrolling awning dumped a large amount of accumulated rainwater directly on the bag. Some inside clothing items got wet. The outside measurements are 21.5, 15 x 9. The top carry handle is fabric that sticks up a bit higher than 21.5, but could be squished to fit a sizer. The 9" depth works if bag not stuffed. The 15" width measurement is outside wheel to outside wheel and is firm. The weight is 5.9 lbs.
Thanks for the input -- it is appreciated.
