We enjoy traveling at Christmas and seeping in the local holiday customs/foods. In the past we have celebrated Christmas Day in Rome, Garmisch (Dorint Sport Hotel), London (hotel across the street from Fortnum & Mason), and Colmar (Rapp). Can you well-traveled Rick Steves readers offer some suggestions for other European hotels that offer Christmas banquets/activites/parties on Christmas Eve or Day? It need not be in a big city - One year we stumbled across the one-day Oberammeragau Christmas Market and it was the highlight of our visit!!
