European City for Honeymoon

It would also be good to know what other European cities you've been to.

With 11-12 days you could pick 2 or 3 locations (4-5 days each) to get a good sampling of Europe. But, as the other posters have said, we would need to know what your experience in Europe is, if any, and what types of things you like to see and do. A bit more information will elicit better responses.

Venice and Florence in Italy.
Nice and Avignon/Arles in France.
Madrid and Seville in Spain.

Italy and Spain will be hot and busy at that time of year.

As it's your honeymoon, I think that just one destination would be more relaxing than changing part way through. I would suggest Croatia - Dubrovnik, which has the romantic old walled city. Good day trips to the islands for more sightseeing and beaches plus trips to Ston and Mostar etc. You could add in a 2/3 day side trip to Split and Trogir.

My main question is if you do not mind going back to a place already known to you, if that's the case, then I would say Paris to be sure.
That would be my absolute first choice, second Vienna, third choice Berlin. What the choices/likes of the spouse? Or, is that choice to select a city totally left up to you?

It would also help to know what your major interests are . . . adventure, art, history, food & wine.

I'd consider Berlin or Budapest. Paris would be my top choice, though, with London a close second.

I would choose one of these 3. All are super romantic with so much to see and do. Wine and food superb.

Many here are saying pretty much the same - Spain, Italy, France. You've got it all there - the sun, the romance, the food, the relaxation that comes with either the "good life" vibe or the "simple life" vibe. Either way is great :) Santorini is my recommendation as well.

I always recommend Venice. There's no other city like it and there's no better place for a honeymoon!
