European airport connection

I am concerned about the time allowance for a flight connection between Munich and Verona. I have not booked yet, but there is only 45 minutes and I am changing airlines. Too close for comfort, and will security and customs be involved?

I have not flown through that airport, but here's what the Munich Airport says about minimum connection times:

Within Terminal 1, the general minimum connecting time is 35 minutes. That means that you should have at least 35 minutes between arrival at and departure from Terminal 1.
Within Terminal 2, the general minimum connecting time is 30 minutes.
The minimum connecting time between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 is 45 minut
es.

I don't like tight connections at all. That one's too short for me. Even if an airport says it's legal, I generally shy away from really tight connections. If you're arriving flight is even 20 minutes late, you'll likely have problem.

I think it depends on the arrangements. Where are you coming from, time of day, are there optional flights later, and are you on one ticket or two tickets. If two tickets, it is definitely too tight. If one with later flights I would do it.

My logic for my temperament and stress level:

Scheduled arrival time 3:00

Time to gate (double if you don't have a gate, and they are using a bus) 0:10
Time to get off plane 0:10
Time to next gate 0:20 (including passport control)
Boarding time 0:30 prior to scheduled departure time
Buffer for a late arrival 0:20 (you choose how much risk you want)
Earliest Reasonable Departure time: 4:30

Minimum layover time 1:30

Was in Munich airport about a week ago. No better, no worse than average.
