Was thinking about taking my wife back to Europe for our one year anniversary during March. Was wondering where you would suggest since we don't have just a whole lot of time. We went to Paris, Dublin, and Barcelona last summer and plan on going back to Ireland for the Pearl Jam shows in June. Was just wondering if Germany would be a good idea in mid-March? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again for your help.
I would think you would enjoy Italy or Greece more in March.
Alternitavely, this might be a good year to plan a ski vacation if you want to go to Germany/Austria.
How tolerant are you to colder weather? I usually take a Euro vacation this time of the year, but temperatures can vary quite a bit. A few years ago I did Berlin, temps in the 70s with hotel prices very cheap...got a room rate at the Grand Westin for under 100 euros. The next year went to Milan and Venice, temperatures were freezing cold, but it was wonderful having Venice almost to myself.
I am from Texas, I love cold weather when I can get it! The cold wouldn't bother me at all, I would just like to be able to do everything I wanted to during our trip. My wife and I had talked about doing Ireland this summer and then jumping over and exploring Germany. Would like to do Germany in March, just wasn't sure if that was the "right" time of year to go. Thanks for your help, I wish I had more time in March but that is our Spring Break and we only get a week. We also get docked pay if we take days before or after a break so that hurts.
Go throw some coins in the Trevi and see some of the glory that is Rome. We did that on our 34th anniversary. Lucky you that you can do this so early in your lives together.
