My wife and I have been to Europe a number of times - always in September, and the weather has always been terrific. We are planning to visit Paris and Barcelona next year and are also considering a Mediterranean cruise as part of the trip. Our concern is this: With the cruise Itinerary that is perfect for us, we'd have to visit Paris in late October and then Barcelona in early November. I realize it won't be as pleasant as it has been in September. However, can we still expect comfortable conditions?
I've visited France a number of times in October and wound up in Paris at the end of the month. It was quite pleasant for me but I like cooler temps. I'd have a waterproof rain jacket with a hood. Last time I was there that time of year was in 2021 but I've got tours scheduled in October 2024 and October 2025 that will put me back in Paris late in the month.
I'll add that I like to stay in a particular area in the 7th and in 2021 they were already putting up Christmas decorations by the month's end. The lights were so pretty!
No experience with Barcelona.
