Why the word "naked"? Because I wanted to get your attention, but also for another reason. Rather than the usual carefully framed professional photos, taken to attract tourists to a given destination, most of these pictures show various cities from random angles and vantage points. Usually, the photographer makes no attempt to beautify or conceal the subject. For example, in the photos of Prague, you see all the usual red tile roofs and church spires dotting the skyline, but you also see the Communist-era housing estates and communication towers. Some of the photos appear to be land survey studies. So, in addition to seeing all the familiar beauty of Europe's cities, you can also view the larger perspective that most travel photos ommit, including housing estates, industrial parks, and office towers. In my opinion, the mixture of the two elements makes the continent all the more interesting.
