Where are the best places to travel in Europe during the month of March, where the weather isn't absolutely horrible!
Going south is usually good, places like Spain or Italy. Although, we've gone to France and Germany in March (towards the end) and lucked out with the weather, got temps in the 50's-60's during the day. We did find that some outdoor sights weren't open yet, though.

was in spain last march for my 50th birthday, wow that sounds old, 70 to 75, little rain, two years prior was in rome 65 to 70 no rain. have been to southern france and germany in march and experienced very good weather. pack for the worst, and expect the best. have fun, be safe.
Paris. First of all, Paris is a great place to go any time of year. But I went there last march and the weather was just fantastic. Not to cold, not too warm, just perfect. Another plus: Not too many tourists. So yea, Paris is a good bet.
Greece is wonderful. That where I went on spring break. I went on to Italy and then back to Germany. Others in my group went to Sicily, Spain (and across the straights to Morocco) and the south of France. The really warm weather would have been on Crete. Pam
Italy, Spain, South of France are the choices that come to mind for me.
