Europe Departure Cities to Guernsey

I am scheduled to attend a retreat on the island of Guernsey. I live in Hungary and am hoping to include some sights of Europe by taking my time and traveling by train across much of the continent. I'm going to have to fly from there because I think my boat options are limited by the time of year. Searching the Flybe website has become difficult because departures from many cities is so limited. Can anyone hep me figure out which city to fly from? It's hard to search flights without this info. Thanks.

There is a map which shows the airline's flights to Guernsey. Maybe an airport in northern France might be a possibility.

Use the drop down menu for Flight Information to get to the Route Map.

The routes in to Guernsey are Aurigny - Gatwick and Dinard or by boat with Condor - St Malo, Portsmouth and Poole. And yes if you are traveling here in the winter the boat timetable is limited.

Both Aurigny Air and Condor Ferries have a reputation for unreliability, the Guernsey government is becoming concerned that it is damaging the tourist industry (not to mention the postal service). Do not spend days wandering around other countries with a last minute arrival planned at the retreat.

In late July I took a Comdor ferry from St. Malo to Jersey. Everything went fine. When the time came for me to get the ferry on to Poole (by way of Guernsey), things were not so fine. Ferries were canceled for three days in a row, I assume due to weather. I ended up scrambling to book an EasyJet flight to Gatwick, followed by two buses. It made for a long day and some extra expenses. I agree that you shouldn't cut things too close in planning your arrival date since you have a commitment on Guernsey.
