Eurodam Baltics Cruise starting in Copenhagen Question

Has anyone taken this cruise? How dressed up do people get on this ship? I am leaving on Friday and am trying to nail down my packing? Thank you,
Lori

We were on the Eurodam two years ago. Holland Am tends to be a little more upscale and dressier. You advance information will indicate the number of formal nights, informal, and casual. Marcia used a black skirt, white top and then dressed it up and down with accessories and a jacket. On cruises we get by with three carryon size bags. Our normal travel carry on and then the addition bag is for the extra clothes and shoes we use on the ship.

Frank: That is smart about the 3 carryon bags. I am taking a very nice black shirt that I can dress up very nicely with different tops and jewelry. So, glad to hear you wife also did that. So much to pack and worried about the late June weather. It appears to be in the 50s at night and the 60's and 70's during the day.

I have not been on this particular cruise but have been on three other HA cruises, one was a Mediterranean cruise. I have taken fewer clothes and dressed less formally each time. I found that for formal nights a cocktail length dress was very acceptable but you see a little bit of everything. For the other nights nice casual dress is fine....capris, slacks skirts. Check your cruise materials, they will tell you how many formal night there are...usually tere are two. Bon voyage.

Lori - if you haven't already checked it out, I'd highly suggest you visit the cruise forums at www.cruisecritic.com. There are ones specifically for Holland America and there are even roll calls for each ship so you can see who else is sailing with you and organize shore excursions together to get group discounts.

I just got back from a HAL Baltic cruise with 3 formal nights- wore the same thing first and third nights, with dressy Italian flats. If you have open seating you may not see the same people, if you care. The Baltic weather was chilly enough that I wished I had a sweater in 3 ports- did fine with 3 layers including a midthigh spring coat, a scarf and jeans. Hope you have good weather.
