Eurail Pass, Train Seat Reservations, high season, please HELP!!!

Hi everyone! I'm desperate, I'm travelling in two months to Europe, and I don't know how to reserve my seats for the train routes that require reservation! I'm travelling with an Eurail pass. The routes that need reservation are: Milan - Paris Lauterbrunnen-La Spezia La Spezia - Milan Bruges - Amsterdam Please I need your help! I don't want to miss those trains and I don't know how to do! I know I can reserve through Rail Europe but the prices are ridiculous, I think I'd rather buy the train tickets instead... well I need help, I'm lost! All the trips are during August but I'll be in Germany in mid July... I'll be waiting for your advice!!
thanks!!

Natalia, This is the method I'd use for the trips you mentioned.... > Milan - Paris: When you arrive at Milano Centrale, buy the reservations for your outgoing journey. You should be able to buy them at the ticket Kiosks (credit card required) or at the staffed ticket office. The ticket office is two floors down, which can be reached via "moving sidewalk". There's often a long queue, so the Kiosks would be a faster option. > Lauterbrunnen - La Spezia: In order to get to Lauterbrunnen, you'll have to pass through Interlaken Ost. There's a very efficient ticket office there, so you should be able to purchase your reservations for the outgoing trip when you arrive in that area. > La Spezia - Milan: As I recall, the station in La Spezia is a larger "full service" station, so again you could simply stop in the ticket office there when you arrive. There are numerous trains on that route every day, so even travelling in "high season" shouldn't be a problem. > Bruges - Amsterdam: Again, just stop at the station when you arrive there (or a day or two before you'll be travelling) and buy your reservations. I assume you'll be travelling from Paris to Lauterbrunnen? While you're in Paris, you might stop by an SNCF Boutique as they may be able to help with some of the reservations. They have many offices throughout Paris - check their website for details. If you haven't done so already, it would be a good idea to have a look at the bahn.de website, to get some idea on the departure times of the trains you might want to use, how many changes they have, and which segments of a particular trip have compulsory reservations. Happy travels!

Thank you Ken!! you're always so helpful!! I knew I could make reservations from the different train stations, but what worries me is how much time in advance should I do so, given that I travel during high season. For example, I'll be in Milan for just one day, so I'll be able to reserve a seat only the day before my trip to Paris. I won't be travelling from Paris to Lauterbrunnen, this is just a part of a larger trip, I just mentioned the routes I know I have to make a reservation for. I'll get to Lauterbrunnen from Salzburg. I'll be 3 days in Lauterbrunnen before leaving to Cinque Terre, another 3 days there. Then, I'll be just 2 days in Bruges, before travelling to Amsterdam. So the problem is, will there still be seats such little time before the trip?? How can I make sure? Shouldn't I reserve earlier??

For Bruges to Amsterdam, if you're not traveling on the high-speed Thalys line, reservations are neither offered nor necessary.
