Eurail Pass Scheduling Accuracy

We just completed two weeks in Europe covering 3 countries this time: Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. We used the electronic version of the Eurail Pass. The train schedules seemed accurate within these 3 countries only about 70% of the time.

On several occasions, the departure - destination train schedule was different on my cell phone app versus that on my wife's app on her cell phone. We will be writing to Eurail directly about this concern. Has anyone else experience the same situation. It appears their internal schedule database across 36+ countries is not completely in sync each day with made it annoying when trying to coordinate our schedules on a daily basis.

I would like to hear what other have to say/report. It appears Eurail is not a fully developed app product as yet, which impacts their overall customer service experience.

Please advise.

Thanks

all three of those countries have well developed apps for their trains - the Oebb, Trenitalia and SBB, which all are up to the minute. If I had a Eurailpass (I wouldn't, but if I did) I'd use the apps in the country I was in for correct up to date info, and just use the Eurailpass app for the compulsory notes.

I used the paper Eurail pass earlier this year for travel through multiple countries after seeing reports here on the forum that the electronic version was not working so well. And I used the German DB app for planning purposes, which was reliably spot on.

I believe the Eurail Pass links in to the French booking system, which indeed may not be up to date. Switzerland, Austria and Germany all use the same system in the background, so their date is usually consistent with each other. The SBB app is particularly good.
