We bought our Eurail passes when they were having a steep discount/special sale this winter, hoping of course to use within the activation period but if not we could forfeit with only getting 80% of our money back. This is when we thought we were going in June, now we’ve rescheduled to September. Got an email from RailEurope yesterday saying:
“Europe is always in season, so we’ve taken an extra step to make mobile Passes purchased in a certain date range even more flexible. If you’re receiving this email, it means we have automatically extended the period in which you can activate your mobile Pass until August 31, 2022 at no cost to you”
This bodes well if we have to rebook our September trip to May. But we have high hopes for Fall!
