Eurail Discounts promos end at 10 Central European Time

Rick Steves resources have been priceless in planning my trip to Europe; including informing me of the Eurail Promo discounts. On March 31 I signed in to purchase my discounted Eurail pass, knowing that Europe is 6 hours ahead of USA Eastern and 9 hours ahead of USA Pacific time zones. Unfortunately I didn’t realize that the Eurail promo ended at 10:00 CET which is 4:00am Eastern and 1:00am Pacific; so I was late for the deadline for which I had been planning for months. Western Hemisphere ought to consider March 30 as the deadline for the Eurail Spring Promo.

Perhaps this information was already buried in this forum and I overlooked it; either way, just wanted to give a shout out to help others avoid my several hundred dollar mistake.

Thanks for posting. The deadline information is new to me too. I never missed the deadline date based on Pacific time, makes sense it is CET

When I take advantage of the Eurail Pass promo to get the max discount, ie the promo discount plus the senior, a pretty hefty savings percentage, I book the the Pass one day or two before the absolute deadline. There is going to be a promo discount period every year. That's when I buy it on-line. Cutting it that close to the deadline is not an option.

Eurail Pass had a promo offer the last time with the deadline line of 17 Dec. 2025. That 15 day flex. 2 month global senior Pass I booked on 15 Dec. Before the end of the month the Pass arrived, ie within 2 weeks. You can activate it on-line at the time of booking, I go the the train station instead to have it done, valid for 61 days (June and July)
