I have a DUI on my record from 25 years ago. Is there any problem entering countries in Europe? I know entering Canada can be a problem. Anyone have any info that might help. I just starting searching the consulate web sites.

As far as I know, a DUI won't cause you a problem, particularly one that old. Even renting a car wouldn't be a problem, since your driving record is now, presumably, clean. It won't prevent you from getting a passport, and I have never been asked about any sort of criminal record. Don't worry!
In most countries you shouldn't have a problem. The only exception I can think of would be a place like Russia, which requires a visa. In order to get the visa you have to fill out a lengthy form which requires that kind of information. Even then I don't think they have the ability to verify the information you provide them. But I do know people that have been denied entry into Canada because of DUIs. The Canadian border agents can look it up on their computer terminals.
If you are a US citizen, travelling from one visa waiver country to another visa waiver country on your US pasport no problem.
You do know you can have this old conviction pardoned off your record.
My friend got a DUI when young( at least 20 yrs ago) , and since we decided to go to Hawaii with our hubbys and kids, she decided not to chance an embarrassing scene( husband knew of course , but not her children) at the border,, so she applied and got a pardon of some sort. I think the DUI must be at least 10 yrs old,, but I am not sure. Just letting you know it is possible to eliminate this problem. It did cost her something, hundreds of dollars I believe, but it was worth it to her.
If it is within your abilities perhaps check with a lawyer.
