Entertaining a trip to Spain/Morocco/Portugal with fam

Hello!
My family is considering a 2-3 week trip to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco in mid June to early July and would appreciate any destination advice to help guide our planning. We will be traveling with two teenagers and know it will be hot so we are looking for a perfect mix of culture, food, and beach time. Thank you in advance for any travel recs and tips.

With 2 weeks you really only have time for one country. With 3 weeks you could visit both Spain and Portugal using flights to go from one to the other. In general going to Morocco will waste a lot of time just getting there and back, it will be hotter that Iberia, and the predominant sentiment on the forum is that it's too much time and money for too little touring enjoyment. For beaches in Spain, the Costa Brava (Barcelona/Valencia) is probably best. It's also rich in culture. Much as I love Andalucia, I would not recommend it in summer. Portugal has as much to offer, Lisbon to Porto with beaches along the coast and in Lisbon.

Chani nailed it. 2-3 weeks isn't enough to do Spain and Portugal, much less Morocco. Plan another trip for Morocco.

Some tips for places to see in
Spain: Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Madrid, Toledo, Segovia and Barcelona.
Portugal: Lisbon, Sintra, Obidos, Cascas, Porto, the Douro River Valley (Regua).

I went to Spain (only) in April 2014, flew in March 31 and home April 30.

Initially, I wanted to see Spain and Portugal in the same trip. As I started planning, I realized there was too much to see in Spain, so Portugal became a later trip.

Second thought is time of year. April is a great month to be in Spain. Summer months are, according to a friend who lived there growing up, like Arizona. It's very hot and people avoid the heat rather than being outside. If I were considering a June/July trip, I'd plan to stick to the coasts - where the sea should help moderate the temperatures. I love the Costa de la Luz (Tarifa to Portugal border), but it wouldn't include any of the big sites you probably wanted to visit.
