Why was this recommended so highly? We stayed there July 2, 2008, and it was hot. Our room 26 didn't have any airconditioning. The fan in the closet was our first clue We were told that only the 4th floor had it, but our daughter was on the 1st floor with airconditioning. The clerk was rude and wouldn't change our room or reduce the high price. it was an uncomfortable night!

... If you're ever faced with such circumstances (or any other untoward condition) simply advise the front desk, before accepting the room, that you want to see the room. We have done that - and noticed the hotel staff were not insulted, but pleased, to show the room before acceptance.
... Sometimes the untoward circumstance may not be lack of an A/C, but the grand prix auto race that runs all night just outside your window - and that's why people want to see the room first, in many instances.
