Does Russia use the same type electricty as England? I have an adaptor for my camera puchased in England and wonder if it will work for the outlets in Russia.

No, Russia uses the same kind of two-pronged plug adapter used in other European countries. So that big, bulky three-pronged British plug won't be useable there.
