Looking for a tour that includes to the second level of Eiffel Tower. Tried to get tickets online and they are sold out. Don't want an all day tour but Tower and mayb one or two more sights.
I don't know what kind of shape you're in, but the stairs aren't that bad and there isn't much of a wait.
I concur with the stairs. If you don't mind seeing it on your own, and can walk up the stairs, the lines for that option are usually not too long.
Does second level mean climbing to the observation area? I thought you needed a ticket for that to climb the stairs? No? Thanks for guidance! Kim
Stairs only get you to the mid-level, big platform which isn't nearly half way to the top. I forget when they took out the stairs that go all the way up - - 1970s, maybe.
I agree with the stairs option. You will need to buy a stairs ticket, but those are much easier to get. Once you have climbed to the lower level you can buy a ticket that will take you the rest of the way to the top. And if you take the stairs you get boasting privileges. :)
We were at the Eiffel Tower last week didn't have advanced tickets because it was all sold out, but it wasn't a problem at all because we went in the evening. We got in line for the elevator at about 7pm and the line only took about a half and hour, and we were listening to a podcast the whole time we were in line, so time went quickly. We stayed up in the tower for a couple of hours, and it was fun to watch the sunset.
We bought a skip-the-line tour through viator a couple weeks before we left and had a nice little tour just last week. The tour group was about 14. The guide gave good history and information and it included going to the summit. For the cost, it was worth it to skip the line and get to the summit. Very cool. Have fun.
