Eiffel tour

hi there, I am going to visit Eiffel tower in November. Do i need to book a tour to skip the queues or pre-purchasing the tickets online would be sufficient to skip the queues?

Prebooking is great, did it for this last visit this summer, but wondering if really nessesary in November, thinking it will be quieter, also in November prebooking can risk taking a time slot while its pouring rain or something, and the views are impacted by the weather. the pre booked tickets are time sensitive and non transferrable to another slot. .Was nice to walk by the three hour line( talked to people on top who said they waited that long!) this July but I personally would not bother for the winter.

We did it this past year during the first week in November - the line was about 45 minutes....got to the 2nd level a few minutes before the lights came on. But, the elevators were working.

I visited the Eiffel Tower earlier this week. Before I left for my trip in early Aug, I tried to buy a lift ticket (elevator access to all 3 platforms) from the official website online but it was sold out. Tickets to climb up the tower isn't sold online but are sold at the venue, I went to the Eiffel at 10am and saw the queue for the lift tickets was incredibly long. I noticed that their was hardly anyone in queue for tickets to walk up the tower. I bought a ticket and took me about 20-30 mins to get to the 2nd floor. From the 2nd floor, you can buy a 2/3 lift ticket for 5.50€, which an elevator on the 2nd floor can take you all the way to the top. I stood in queue for about 25 mins before I was able to hop on the elevator. Knowing what I know now, I don't think it's really necessary to book online. I think that if you go in the morning, the queues won't be that bad.
