Egypt Travel

I am looking at doing an OAT trip to Egypt that includes a river cruise. The tour includes flights Cairo to Luxor and Aswan to Cairo.
I am a traveler with a fear of flying and OAT does not provide any information about intra-country flights.

I was hoping someone may have taken an OAT Egyptian tour and could tell me what airlines and type of planes they were on for the above flights. I would really not like to get there and find out I am on 20 seat prop plane!

This is my first post to this forum so I thank you in advance for any first hand experience you may share.

Hi BJ, I took that tour a couple of years ago. The domestic flights within Egypt are on full-size passenger jets, like 737s or A320s.

I returned a week ago from an Egypt tour. Our early morning in country flights on EgyptAir were on 737s and contained multiple tour groups. They are relatively short flights, at under 1 1/2 hrs. EgyptAir is a member of Star Alliance, for what it's worth.

We did that trip last fall. Definitely not a prop plane - maybe a regional jet? Egypt Air, AirCairo, etc. If I recall correctly, seating was 2/2, or maybe 2/3...
