Hi, We will be in Paris the middle of September. Should we buy tickets online for the Effiel Tower, before we go, also on their site I noticed they had more than one type. If I remember 2nd floor or summit. Which should we get?

I would not buy online as you won't want to go up if the weather is rainy or foggy. Simply try to arrive 1st thing in the morning to avoid a big line for tickets. Also, sometimes late in the day the lines thin out a bit. And if you are fit and mobile, there's very few people in line to get a ticket to walk up the stairs.

I was there in September two years ago. We walked over one night (a weekday) around 10:00 and walked right up to the ticket booth, bought a ticket and went right up. You could only go to the second level at that time of day, but it was spectacular!

I agree don't buy online because until that day you don't know what the weather will be like. You get a broader view from the summit, tho sometimes foggier, and you can see things better from the 2nd floor. There's really not much difference in price, so I'd go to the top and elevator/walk down.
