I keep reading that it's been within the past year, but I swear when I flew home from CDG in the summer of 2024 were were photographed and fingerprinted. What was that about?

According to the CDG website a "soft roll-out" occurred at some areas in CDG starting October 12, 2025. The official starting date was April 10, 2026.

The French PARAFE system has been in use since 2009. Originally, it used only fingerprints, but since 2016 it has also incorporated facial recognition.
