eating near Galleria Borghese

Traveling with 6 adults, 3 children (ages 7-9) - We will visit Galleria Borghese in the morning, then wander around Villa Borghese until we visit the Cappuccin Crypt. What to do about food? Should we pack a lunch, are there places to pick something up in the park? Need to keep it affordable and easily accessible (a key to traveling with children, and my husband, is keep everyone's tummy happy.) Thanks! Marisa

There's a small cafe in the lower level of the Borghese...at least there was when I visited in 08. I walked from the Piazza del Popola up the steep hill and through the park to the Galleria and I didn't see any eating places...just wide expanses of trees and open areas

There are some food stands in the Villa Borghese, but for affordability and predictability that might be a good day to pack snacks and a lunch to eat in the park. Keep in mind that the lunch will be in a storage locker for 2 hours while you're visiting the Galleria.

I was at the Galleria Borghese today. There is a cafe in the lower level near where you have to check you bags. I also saw a small stand in the park nearby.
