easyJet Bag Regulations & RS Convertible Carry On?

Any experience with the bag and whether it needs to be checked on easyJet? Thank you!

Sylvia, The answer may depend on how "full" the Convertible Carry On is packed, however it's likely that you'll have to check it. My main Backpack is about the same size as the Convertible, and there's no way it will fit through the sizing frame! EasyJet will most likely check the bag prior to boarding (they usually do) and if the bag doesn't fit the frame, it will have to be checked. Happy travels!

Sylvia, I've always had to weigh my main Pack at check-in, so weight is also a factor. The carry-on weight limits are somewhat "light" so that may also be a factor (again, depending on how you have it packed). If you ARE able to take the Convertible as carry-on, please let us know. I'm sure the information will help others here. Cheers!

...but the RS bag is within the EasyJet limits; apparently, they don't apply their own rules? Shocking... In theory, you could even expand the bag; EJ's limits are 22"x17"x10", and the RS bag is 21"x14"x9". I wouldn't count on that, based on first-hand reports like Ken's :-(

If you are not making a connection I would check it. I know frequent travelers prefer carry on but I'm an occasional traveler so the odds are with me. I prefer not to worry about my bags while waiting for my flight or lug them through the terminal. My experience with Easyjet was Paris to Florence. They checked most of the carry-ons at the gate like Ken mentioned. As someone who doesn't carry on I was glad to not have all the extra luggage in the cabin with the accompanying scene of people stowing and retrieving it.
