Easiest way to check status of homebound flight from Rome?

How about www.flightstats.com ? If you got a blackberry, palm, laptop, or any device that receive wi-fi signals and surf the web, you can check online. You can try to call the travel agent that booked your tickets or you can call the Airline's hotline (try to get reference call # from airline desk)

Every hotel we have stayed in has some form of computer access. May be a little old and slow but fast enough to check an airline schedule.

You could check by phone. Your ticket jacket should have a list of the airline's country numbers and all you have to do is call their local number and ask (there is always an English language option).

I'm a little confused by this. Don't you already have a print out of your itenerary? Isn't the flight time listed?

Generally speaking the flight schedules don't change all that often and unless you are traveling two or three months from now, the schedule will be set. If this is a long ways out, you could always use the internet somewhere a day or two out to recheck the departure time.

The best way is to check it is on the airline company's web site. You might be able to ask the staff at your hotel to do it for you instead of going to an internet cafe. You also can get the ph. number form the same web site. Go to "contact us" and chose Italy as your country instead of US.
