We have layovers in London both coming and going for our next trip. While researching different options, I was surprised to find I could book a day use room directly online with Hilton by entering both the same date for arrival AND departure. It provided a room available from 9am to 6pm. In this particular case, the price difference of a day room vs. booking an extra night was substantial, $100 for day use vs. $500. We are considering it for a early morning arrival check-in. I just hadn't ever thought of entering the same arrival and departure dates, so I thought I would pass it along in case it helps anyone else while researching options.

Thanks, that's very useful information, Lisuza. Do you need to prepay and are those dates able to be canceled without a fee?

I haven’t used it in London, but in a couple of other cities, I have used dayuse.com for the same purpose.
I do like that Hilton lets you do this and I have done that with Hilton in the past.
Now because I’m risk adverse , I only book the ones for you pay upon arrival because that way if something does go wrong at least they don’t have to fight to get my money back but so far it’s worked great for me. You also want to look to see where it is. They’ll give you rooms all over the city. But imho you want one that’s connected to the airport. For example, I did it in Paris and I made sure it was on their internal train at the airport so I didn’t have to take a shuttle or anything
