Dulles-Ireland (Dublin, Belfast) to Portugal and France back

So, we have usually done an open-jaw directly to the destination. We have heard that using Ireland as the initial point, and then Ryan within Europe is a good way to go.

Our trip (Oct-Nov 2024) will probably involve Portugal (1 wk), Spain (1.5 W), Bretagne/France (1.5 W). We've been to Europe 6-7 times, so we are very comfortable with setting our itinerary, not moving often, etc.

Thoughts about using Ireland as an interim point? I have Irish ancestors so we may do a day or 2 in Ireland as well.
