We are flying from YYT to DUB in October on Westjet. They do not have partners in Europe so we plan to book separate tickets to Italy, combined airfare will be under $1000 each. Our plan is to leave Rome upon landing and likely heading to Orvieto or Siena. We will spend a night or two in Rome before leaving Italy. We also plan to spend a couple of nights in Dublin, we are not decided if this is before or after Italy. We have 14 nights to play with, not including transatlantic travel.
I am hoping to get some feedback on flying with Aer Lingus or Ryanair between Dublin and Rome? The schedules are comparable.
- Aer Lingus uses FCO and the base fare is $35 more
- Ryanair uses CIA
Any other thoughts on our plans welcomed.
Thanks
