I have 4 days when I arrive in Rome in June 2010 to drive from Rome to Milan. I would like to see Tuscany and see the countryside. Please help me with some ideas of places to stay and see for a solo traveling woman.

Peggy - After taking small groups to Italy for over 25 years I have the place for you. Http://www.Casolarelibbiano.it - A wonderful B&B , located just outside of San Gimignano, and very close to Siena, Volterra, and The rest of the Tuscan countryside! Berta and her husband Andrea are great hosts, the property, as you will see by looking at their website, is Gorgeous, and , if you want your meals there, Berta is a GREAT cook!
Perfectly safe location and I think you would truly enjoy it. I admire your spirit in exploring by yourself - must be quite a woman!!
